It is my pleasure to endorse Rene Mauricio Eguiluz Ferreira. I met Rene at the Sagamore Art Hotel in Miami Beach a few years ago when I was guest curating an art project there in conjunction with the Artbasel Artfair. He struck me as quite a remarkable individual. As the chef for the hotel's Social Miami Restaurant, I was a routine patron there and began to get a sense of his passion for great food and beauty of food preparation / presentation as we became more familiar discussing things like art, food and life.

I was extremely impressed with his ability to seamlessly reference his passion for food and love for art and without compartmentalizing the two. I soon discovered he was not only a culinary artist but also a visual artist with an active studio at home where he would paint after cooking all day.

I found this to be quite unique as there are very few successful chef's who divide their time with yet another passion for anything else remotely creative. Soon after our many insightful discussions on food and art I was able to see some of his remarkable works and realized that there is no separation between one or the other for him.

And so ultimately it became increasingly clear that this is a man who live his entire life as a creative person and applies these principles throughout his life without any barriers between. I have been a fan of Rene and his art ever since and although I am traveling a great deal and live in New York, we manage to stay in touch.

It is a pleasure to recommend him and his work as I am quite a fan! And I wish him all the very best in his creative endeavors.

Sincerely,
